The responsible officer of the passport office advises all students to send the letter according to the format provided below. Students are not allowed to send bank statements (in the German language) as the immigration authorities cannot understand the statements unless they are written in English. Students must adhere to the format provided below to ensure their visa approval.
As indicated below, the letter must include the closing balance of the last 6 months, and the final paragraph should also mention that detailed bank statements cannot be sent due to the data protection laws applicable in Germany/EU.

It is important that the medical certificate is issued in English. However, please note that not all laboratories provide a translation service.
A medical certificate, along with the laboratory reports, stating that you are not suffering from any contagious or infectious disease, an HIV test, Hepatitis B test, and a chest X-ray performed in the home country (original report).

Upon arrival, you will be required to undergo another medical examination. A medical certificate must be provided, stating that there are no contagious or infectious diseases present. An HIV and Hepatitis B test, as well as a chest X-ray, should be conducted at a private laboratory/clinic/hospital in Mauritius, and the medical certificate should be submitted to the Passport and Immigration Office no later than one month after the student's arrival in Mauritius.
